Note to the listeners: This episode was EXTREMELY difficult to record. There were weird echos, random dropped calls, and overall, Skype was just being extremely difficult. I’m surprised that Mel was able to edit out of alot of the problems we ran into. That said, we love hearing your feedback so please post your comments!
Since no one mentioned it on the show, I think Microsoft will show stuff on 1 Vs 100. I dont see how anyone can “win” E3. How do you win a giant show and tell ? No one gets medals or handjobs after the shows over. When Mel was asking about the new Halo games it sounded like someone just removed an ether rag off his face. Get that guy a coffee. My E3 biggest surprise is with Nintendo. The game that i predict will be shown is…Ikawii Warriors. The game will come with red and blue headbands so you and your intoxicated friend can wear them as you co-op your way through the jungles in blinking tanks blowing up brainless blue uniformed soldiers. Loved the Max Headdrum echo you guys had going on near the end of the show..def setting yourselfs apart from other podcasts. If you guys really wanna get some dirt on an exclusive when youre at E3, ask one of the booth babes what the release date is for S.T.D., youll probably get a few degrees on n4g wiith a followup article . Before i goosestep off into the sunset, ill say this weeks show was good.
We say “Win”, and we the gamers are the winners, but we mean who will have the best showing in my opinion.
So after E3, we will go around and see each person’s opinion and who had the best showing in their eyes. All opinion.
Like this, someone who only owns a Wii, and is a casual gamer, and therefore only watches the Nintendo Conference. Then in their eyes, Nintendo won. Simple.
Thats what I love about the gaming community, not have anyone likes the same thing. Just like no everyone likes the same movie, or the same girl, and no one votes for the same president. That’s what makes the world go around!
So if someone doesn’t like the same game as you, sit the fuck down, as long as you like it, that’s all that matters right?
Woooo! Shout-out to me! I love it!
Thanks a million for the mention of SOTC and Ico. I really wanna grab a copy of both of them. Amazon has ico for 40 and imo I dont wanna spend that much on a used copy. I have been watching some gameplay footage and it looks amazing. E3 IS A COMPETITION. I dont understand how people say that its not. EVERTHING IN LIFE IS A COMPETITION. That being said I think sony will “win” the presentation. Everyone seems to think that because Microsoft has not revealed anything that all of a sudden they will have titles that can compete with the outstanding line-up Sony has shown. If Microsoft reveals anything bigger that the FF13 announcement next year I will go out the next day after their conference and buy an XBOX. I think that next gen apple will produce and home console. As you guys said I would also die if a new Dreamcast 2 was unveiled.
ICO was great, second hand or not. Shadow of the Collosus was also good, but I didn’t finish it.
e3 is a competition, but there are different aspects, like said on the show;
Game line-up winner. Biggest surprise winner. any more?
The game line-up winner is Sony, but Microsoft or Nintendo could announce something that overshadows the entire expo. Be it a single game, hardware or an update.
Once again, fantastic show guys! While the audio quality isn’t as good as Listen UP!, this is definitely a phenomenal show and you should all be really proud of what you are accomplishing.
As for what I expect to see at each of the Big 3’s conferences:
Microsoft: New IPs, Sequels to Forza, Crackdown, and Perfect Dark, an ODST blowout an lots of APB.
Nintendo: Virtual Console on the DSi, a new Zelda (maybe just a teaser), a new Miyamoto game, Pikmin 3
Sony: Lots of on-stage demos, a new PSP, a PS3 Slim and Price Drop, Starhawk announcement.
