well i just listened to 20 minutes of your drivle! that si20 minnuts i will never get back! I’m about half of the way into the show and I have a few points to make..
1. Keith needs thicker skin, I didn’t see any reason to ditch the show just because Colton made a few jokes…it would have made for an even better podcast if he didn’t get upset over that…
2. Colton, I definitely do not sound like that (in reference to the RE5 controls). I was mad because One of the dev’s said there would be a run and gun feature. They changed it from a survivor/horror to action/adventure game…I loved RE4, but I felt RE5 needed an upgrade in the gameplay…
3. It was good to hear Colton speak more this time…and where was Roger?, I know his fans will be in an uproar after seeing that he wasn’t on the show…
4. The press needs to stop hyping up GDC into a mini E3…people are expecting there to be all sorts of announcements, they need to exclude the press from this and keep it what it is…for the developers…E3 will come…
5. I have to go to work…. part 2 of The Don responses will continue this afternoon

Ps3 doesnt have to drop their price anytime soon because its selling really good at the moment….it would be stupid for Sony to make that announcement of a price drop at this time. Ps3 sold around 78,000 units last month thats not bad for a system selling for 400 bucks. Sony just needs to hold their cards for awhile. Like you guys were saying about Blazblue and how its coming out this summer in Japan theres really no rush for it to come out durnin the summer here because KOF XII comes out in June anyways. So some seperation between the two would be good cost wise for people who plan on buying both.
So then keith you could have stayed on for 30 more minutes. And plus right after you left the podcast and signed on PSN and immediately sent me a message asking me why I was being an asshole. The Ps3 sold almost 300k and as you can see the Ps2 sold 131k. I keep saying this every month and it really needs to happen already. Cut the price of the Ps3 and discontinue the Ps2.
You’ll see those sales go up right away.

…more RE5 talk….I think I already passed this part…oops…
and I think the PS3 will drop in price…it’s been at this price for awhile…I think that with all the extra rumors going on about the price drop, then there’s fire…like what happened last year….and it’ll be for $299, Sony has been making money as of late on the PS3 because of the profit difference in the manufacturing costs for Blu-ray….it has come down significantly in the past year and twice that between launch and a year ago…and that was the big problem in the price dropping as fast as people wanted…
plus, they don’t have to increase the hard drive for the new price point because you can use an external hard drive or install one in the open bay….not that everyone knows that, but nowadays people know what this stuff is and attempt it…especially ones purchasing a PS3 at this point…
and I agree with what Mel said about the 360 dropping in price and bundling more…
…I’ll say a $179 price point with Gears of War 2, bigger hard drive and a 6 month membership for XBL Silver maybe? (And yeah, not Gold…so they can see what they could have if they pony up some money for the Gold)…or just get rid of the arcade altogether with that price…coming with the essentials…
…also…Wii has $199 written all over it at E3 imo…
and my position between Infamous and Prototype has shifted since I did the write up…I was leaning towards Prototype at times even though Infamous seems more open…the gameplay just seemed more fun…
…but now Prototype just just seems like a simple *button mash* *absorb DNA* *shapeshift* *button mash* *jump* etc. etc.
Infamous just seems more strategic if you’ve seen the latest video from last week…you may not be able to take down a chopper or ride a Tank, but there’s a decent cover system and you are humanized instead of being in God mode..
plus I think the story will be deeper in Infamous…or I think I’d actually like it more…
plus you can give life to things with your power…it just seems more strategic to me and I wouldn’t get old so fast….pretty much, I think they better come with the demo for both of these titles…
Silver is already out of the box,cause I helped my friend set his up and he was on Live and could do some stuff a day before we put the Gold card in

Joe, I disagree with your assessment of the PS3 dropping it’s price….or the strategy they are using..
the PS3 may be selling well, but I know plenty…and I mean plenty of people who would get off the fence and buy a PS3 if it were $299…not to mention people who actually want another one…
Blu-ray players are all coming down to the $199 price point…and possibly lower, so this is allowing the PS3 to drop down to $299…
It’ll happen when Sony wants it to happen not when people want it to happen. It makes no sense for Sony to drop it right now off the month they just had. This is supposely a 10 year system whats the rush? If people have waited this long whats to say they wont want to wait a few months longer? Once the parts to make the ps3 start coming down in price thats most likely when the system itself will come down.
there’s no rush…but they can afford to drop the price and they will make even more money because sales will skyrocket from it…
I guarantee you that if Sony dropped the price to $299 that you wouldn’t be able to find a PS3 in stores….
But whats the point when their sellin like hotcakes since Killzone and Street Fighter came out last month? If you wanna throw in Japan too, Yakuza 3. Thats like saying youre selling “the don” shirts….and their the best shit since the last one you took…..and everyones buying them for 10 bucks and their in very high demand at the moment. Would you at that point of them selling like crazy lower the price down to 5 bucks a tshirt when their in such high demand, or wait till the demand isnt as high….then…..lower the price?
everyone isn’t buying them…..they are only selling well after the Killzone 2 hype…and even then, it’s still not overwhelming…
they can reach a new level of sales at that price point…
