Grand Theft Auto 4 review - The return to Liberty City

On October 22, 2001, Rockstar Games introduced the world to the new genre of gaming called “Sandbox”. This genre bestows upon the player a huge, open ended world where the player is free to virtually do whatever they please. Grand Theft Auto III was highly different compared to its predecessors, in that the new 3rd person perspective allowed a whole new way to play as opposed to the top-down view of the first two games. It is now 2008, and after two GTA games that took place in other areas, it is now finally time to return to Liberty City with Grand Theft Auto 4.

Street Fighter 4 Preview

It’s been quite a few years since the inception of Street Fighter into our arcades. Street Fighter, especially around Street Fighter 2 Championship Edition until Street Fighter Alpha 3 seemed to be a franchise that would never stop. It seemed like the end of the series when the Street Fighter 3: Third Strike came out in 1999 and the years went by without any new Street Fighter titles were announced outside of the EX series. It was quite the bombshell when Capcom announced they would be releasing Street Fighter 4. It has been nearly 10 years since the last true entry in the Street Fighter series, and what can I say? I’m excited.

What makes a good game?

When I first started playing games on the Sega Genesis, gaming just wasn’t the same thing as it is today. You had Sonic the Hedgehog and Street Fighter on the Super Nintendo. Yes they are both great games in their own right, but they wouldn’t exactly compete with modern games on the multiplayer playground. Today’s games are build with many more features. The individual quality of the features is what I’ll explain.
